Coffee Negroni

gin

A Carano’s copy-cat.

At a pizza restaurant a few blocks away, there’s one of the best Negroni riffs I’ve ever had: a coffee Negroni. This is a close-enough copycat you can easily enjoy at home.

1 oz gin
1 oz coffee infused Campari (recipe below)
1 oz sweet red vermouth (I like Cocchi)

Stir with ice, then strain into a rocks glass with ice. Optional: garnish with coffee beans.

For the Campari Infusion

3 tbsp whole coffee grains
1 cup Campari

Add the coffee beans and Campari in an airtight container. Let it infuse for 12–24 hours, stirring occasionally. Strain and store in an airtight container.
